Andy Frenock
Sales Associate / Realtor
Originally from Pennsylvania, Andrew “Andy” Frenock has been a resident of Florida since 1967. Andy began his working career operating heavy equipment, driving trucks and operating a concrete batch plant. From there he went driving cross country and has been to all the lower 48 states, and Alaska.
He later settled down from that to live in SW Florida and became a state certified Firefighter. Attending night school, he obtained an AS degree in Fire Science and along the way became certified as a Fire Officer, Instructor, Inspector and Level A Hazmat Technician and instructor. He also taught Fire Tactics and Company Officer (the individual in charge of a fire crew) at a community college. During this time he was also on the city zoning board and assistant director of the local BLS ambulance service. As an instructor he certified volunteer firefighters, taught First Aid and CPR, and certified other instructors as CPR instructors.
Moving in 1997 to North central Florida he drove tanker trucks for a while, then was hired back into the fire service and retired as Fire Chief. From there he went on to work as a Safety Manager in a corporate environment, wrote the safety manual and operating parameters for high risk jobs, achieved an Advanced Safety Certificate and was instrumental in getting an ISO 18000 safety rating for that company.
Becoming a mortgage broker in the Live Oak area for a period of time, he assisted people in refinances as well as purchases. He also operated a small fleet of five over the road trucks for several years, being a driver again himself. Tired of being gone all the time, he began doing mechanic work then partnered in a local tire shop.
Andy has many interests. Most outdoor activities, boating, hunting, fishing, hiking and camping are all included. Jack of all trades would aptly describe him as he can work with wood building about anything, cabinets, flooring, roofing, along with electrical and plumbing. High performance cars, motorcycles, fabricating parts by welding and a metal lathe are all part of his endeavors. Married, with an adopted three year old keeps him busy.
Through all of this he always had an interest in real estate, having bought and sold many residences and recreational land tracts personally. Helping people and being service oriented has been a theme throughout his multi-faceted career. With his diverse experience and the expertise of the real estate office, the goal of meeting the needs of our clients, buyers and sellers alike, is his main objective
